The studio
A place for everything. Room to change.
Labo Mono is a design studio in Hackney, London, founded in 2018 by French designer Ali Namdari. It makes modular bags and outdoor gear, bringing the practical thinking of outdoor equipment to the things people carry every day.
It starts with the details: where the keys go, how a pocket opens, how a strap sits on the shoulder. Each sling bag is a system: one bag body, a choice of straps, including the studio's rope straps, and parts that can be swapped as routines change.
Instead of a new collection every season, the studio refines the same designs from one production run to the next, and backs its bags, straps and carabiners with a lifetime warranty.

Meet the designer
Ali Namdari is the French designer and founder behind Labo Mono. He founded the studio in Hackney, London in 2018. His work combines a focus on organisation, modular construction and the details that make equipment useful in everyday life.
